Bull Dogs have a repeat finish at Challenge Cup
May 25, 2010, 12:07 pm

For the second consecutive year, the Petcetera Bull Dogs fell short in the Challenge Cup A finals. The team played a very competitive level and showed well against some of the best teams at the tournament. The Bull Dog stayed close but could not overcome after trailing 2-0 to the Kootenay Avalanche. The Bull Dogs pressed late with a two man advantage via a penalty and pulling their goaltender but a empty net goal secured the 3-0 victory for the Avalanche team.

The Bull Dogs finished the tournament with 19 goals for and 11 goals against plus one empty netter. The outcome was an average 3.17 goals per average game and a 1.83 goals against. All player statistics can be viewed in the statistics section of the web site.

Special thanks to all players for their contribution in the one tournament season and very special thanks to Jim Dinwoodie, Mitch Pinsky and Paul Houck for supporting the team on the bench throughout the tournament. Petcetera wishes all players the very best in their future hockey endeavors.
